Anna Heart of Glass R A/S TIMELINE: About 3 months after Hand of God, a year after the Destruction of the Colonies. Maybe five/six months since the Pegasus squadrons joined the Galactica.

TERMINOLOGY: BSG developed its own daft terminology. A “daggit” is a dog; felgercarb or felger is shit, and frakking is a polite euphemism for what the boys get up to. A “boray” is an unpleasant pig-like alien. But best of all are the totally naff time units. So yahren = year; sectar =month; secton = week; centar = hour; centon = minute; micron = second. For some reason, Universal never thought up clunky terms for “day” and “night”, so you have a nice, inconsistent mix. Keeps you awake as you read, I suppose.

DISCLAIMER: Universal owns 'em. I just wish I did, but I play with them very nicely and even if they end up a bit hot and sweaty, at least I give them back when I’m finished. Reluctantly, maybe, but I *do* give ‘em back. And no-one can ever see the scars.

OTHER WARNINGS : Spelling is erratic, but theoretically British English throughout. Grasp of grammar rudimentary, but I’m trying. Very trying. Misquotations are deliberate.
All non-canon characters are my own, except, I think, Drake, who appeared in a mainstream BSG story somewhere but I can’t remember what or whose. It must have been good, though, because he stuck in my head and became a part of my BSG universe. Thanks whoever it was.

SYNOPSIS : A route-map, a love affair gone wrong, an enemy base, a sort of mutiny and unpleasant medical moments. Packed with incident and adventure (I wish!) and romance. Er – that’s it.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS : Hiperbunny over on the Masters-Apprentice (Star Wars, The Phantom Menace) list, for her influence on things medical - I was reading her brilliant Bonds of Choice series as I wrote this, and her amazing description of medical procedures had their inevitable influence on me. Val, for numerating to make sure that I count the parts right. But most of all and forever, Heidi-hi for being my beta and all-round best friend, whom I love to distraction; who owns Cetes Starbase and Cole but let me borrow them from her wonderful story “Beginnings” for this; and without whose help and encouragement I’d never write anything. That means: hit her, not me.

Anna The Lords' Anointed NC-17 A/S, A/Sheba, A/other RATING: Well, there's a bit of sex in here: a bit right near the beginning, and another bit a little further on, and then a bit more in a drugged sort of orgy… you get the idea, right? So go no further those of you who are under 18 or likely to be shocked / saddened / outraged / over-excited (delete as appropriate) by two gorgeous men getting it together. Those of you who want to get over-excited by that little image might want to stick around. Up to you.

TIMELINE: About 18 months after Heart of Glass, almost 2½ years after the Destruction of the Colonies. Apollo and Starbuck are a youthful 31 or so. Well, shit - when you get to my age, 31 seems VERY youthful.

SYNOPSIS : A few religious fanatics, a wedding party, an abduction, a water filtration plant, a prophecy, and sex in the turboflush: you get the idea. My usual mish-mash. One of these days I'll get a plot and surprise the hell out of you all.

DISCLAIMER: Universal owns 'em. I've just borrowed them but at least they're going back to their owners with smiles on their faces.

OTHER WARNINGS :
spelling is erratic, but theoretically British English throughout.
all non canon characters are my own, except Drake (who appeared in a Barb Conway story on the mainstream BSG list. I liked him and stole him) and Cole. Cole appears by kind permission of Heidi Maroney, and he does it very nicely, too.
anything written in the past tense is a memory or a dream. I don't know which, as Apollo wasn't entirely sure himself. Any speech in <<...>> might be ghosts, or they might be Apollo. Who knows? He sure as hell doesn't.
Narcotics : Shadow is my BSG version of heroin. Bliss was invented by Heidi Maroney and she tells me it makes you feel as good as the name suggests…
The song that runs throughout this story is, if you're interested, Jimmy Somerville's "Safe", from the "Dare to Love" and "Root Beer" albums (3 different versions! 6 versions, if you can find the CD single and the extra disco ones..). Lyrics at the end, just after the prophecy and the explanation of the dedication. And no prizes for finding the other half dozen or so Somerville songs quoted in here.

MAJOR WARNING : This is all in Apollo's voice, entirely told by him. That means that you're only getting a part of the story - the part that Apollo experiences personally - and so the ending might seem a little undramatic. The parallel story is in the pipeline, to fill in the gaps.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS : Val, for doing the counting of the parts. But most of all and forever, my own Heidi for being my patient and loving beta; who owns Cetes Starbase and Cole but let me borrow them from her wonderful story "Beginnings" for this; whose wonderful Riviendra stories influenced this, and without whose help and encouragement I'd never write anything.

Notes:
  • Chapter titles are "Battlestar Galactica" episode titles, with the exception of Chapter Seven, which is a kd lang song title, and the Epilog, which belongs to Anonymous—and the Universe
  • Prolog: What Sheba remembers Cain saying in the second section is from the episode "The Living Legend" by Glen Larson, and the same for what Cassie remembers Starbuck saying in the fifth section
  • Chapter One: Some of the dialog in the first section (in the Life Center with Adama) is from the episode "Fire in Space" by Jim Carlson & Terrence McDonnell
  • Chapter Two: The quote from Word in the first section is from Paul's Second Epistle to the Thessalonians, chapter two, verses eight and nine
  • Chapter Three: Bojay's song in the last section is kd lang's "Only Love"
  • Chapter Four: The remembered lines between Cassie and Starbuck in the first section are from the episode "Murder on the Rising Star" by Donald Bellasario, James Carlson, Terrence McDonnell
  • Chapter Five: The preflight checklist is excerpted, with edits, from "The Su-27 Flogger Pre-Flight Checklist", which was (as these things so often are) circulated anonymously
  • Chapter Six: All dialog in the first section (and bits of that in later sections) is from the episode "The Hand of God" by Donald Bellasario (except one speech by Adama in which I've fixed Bellasario's little problem with universes and galaxies...); the quote in the fourth section is from Psalms Eighteen and Eight, and Ruu's song is Collin Raye's "If You Get There Before I Do"
  • Chapter Seven: In the third section, Cassie's story (but not the moral) is borrowed from Takahashi Rumiko's "Ranma 1/2", and the Word quoted by Athena and Cassie is "The Song of Songs, which is Solomon's"; the song quoted in the fourth section is George Harrison's "Run So Far", and it was Mark Twain who said the bit about 'what you don't know'.

Kerensa To Catch A Falling Starbuck New! NC-17 A/S Dedication: I want to thank my mother for her invaluable help with this story. She helps me even though she doesn't like slash stories.
Disclaimer: I don't own the boys, if I did my life would be a lot happier. Besides, if my characters look like the ones you watched then I was looking at the wrong series.
Summary: A hit to his self esteem, poison, and Sheba: When Starbuck falls, will anyone be there to catch him?
Note: This storyline will be continued.
Laura Anne Kincaid Love's A Question Never Answered G   This is a Boomer-oriented story, which is quite a change for me as, up till now, I've always stuck with Apollo and Sheba, my favourite characters. If that's too obvious in my story, then I'm sorry, but this is the first one I've ever published. The story is set about a yahren and a half after the Hand of God, my favourite episode, and explores Boomer's feelings for Apollo. I just got so sick of seeing Starbuck/Apollo stories (not that they're never fun to read) that I decided to use Boomer for a change. I've always wondered why, when there was Starbuck with all of his girlfriends, and even Apollo managing to get both Serina and Sheba in the run of the 24 episodes, Boomer never once seemed to be interested. So here's the reason why...
